Pres. Sirleaf makes additional appointments in gov’t

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf has made additional appointments in government affecting the Ministries of Finance, Information, Foreign Affairs, National Security Agency, and Internal Affairs.

According to an Executive Mansion release, those appointed at the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning include Adolphus Forkpa -Deputy Minister for Fiscal Affairs, Juah Feika -Deputy Minister for Administration, and Hanson Kiazolu -Comptroller & Accountant General.


Others are Johnny Tarkpah -Assistant Minister for external Resources & Debt Management, and Stanley Barh Sr -Assistant Minister for Administration.

At the Ministry of Information, Jacob Jallah was appointed as Assistant Minister for Technical Services and Vivian Lombeh, Minister Counsellor for Press and Public Affairs –Liberia’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations.

Others appointed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs include Edward Essiah -Deputy Minister for Administration, and Vivian Wreh Ambassador, Republic of Guinea.

At the National Security Agency, Adolf Yancy was appointed as Assistant Director for External Services President Sirleaf also made a number of Local government appointments under the authority of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Those appointed in Lofa County include Akoi Zogbo, - Commissioner, Voinjama District, Korlu Beyan, -Commissioner, Zorzor District, Tarmie Zarwu, -City Mayor, Zorzor District, and Anthony Armah, -Commissioner, Lukambeh District.

In Grand Bassa County, she also appointed Joe Manuway - Township Commissioner, Goegboe Township, and Nancy Greene -Superintendent, Statutory District # 2.

The Liberian Leader’s local government appointments also affected Rivercess and Maryland Counties.

For Rivercess County, the President appointed Dennis Seeboe as District Commissioner for Sengblor District While those appointed in Maryland County include Solomon Johnny -Superintendent, Karluway Statutory District, Jacqueline Ceeta Konneh -Karloken City, Karluway Statutory District, Richard Gbuffua -Commissioner, District #2, Karluway Statutory District, and Adolphus Sieh -Commissioner for Yederobo District #3, Karluway.

The appointments are subject to confirmation by the Honorable House of Senate were applicable.
