MONROVIA, LIBERIA-National Housing Authority (NHA) Managing Director (MD), Samuel Wlue, is assuring West Point residents of decent resettlement.

The recent threat by the sea erosion hastened the Liberian Government, through the National Housing Authority and other partners, to embark on a project to repatriate the West Point residents to the VOA Community in Virginia, outside Monrovia.

Mr. Wlue spoke Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at the All West Point Housing Conference in Monrovia.

He disclosed that the NHA has secured US$1.2 million in its budget to construct 100 housing units before the 2017 rainy season.

Also speaking at the conference, Information Minister, Eugene Nagbe, said:  “The move to repatriate the West Point residents is the Government’s way of protecting their livelihood.”

“President Johnson-Sirleaf was concerned with the residents’ plight to select the structure’s design to be built at their new home in the VOA Community in Virginia,” Minister Nagbe said.
