(lbsonline/Liberia)-The Institute for Research and Democratic Development (IREDD) has concluded a three-day planning and program evaluation on its national policy.

The three day planning and program evaluation is part of the institute’s five year strategic plan.

IREDD Acting Executive Director, Harold Aidoo, made the statement Monday, January 7 2013 at a news conference in Monrovia.

Mr. Aidoo said: “One of the outcomes of the conference was the change of the institute’s name from the Liberia Democratic Institute (LDI) to IREDD)”.

“The change of the institute’s name is to afford IREDD the opportunity to operate in other African countries”, he said.

“Despite the change of name, the institution will continue providing the Liberian people needed services”.  Mr. Aidoo is meanwhile calling on all Liberians to join hands in the country’s rebuilding efforts.
