(lbsonline /Liberia)-Even ts organizer, CT.Com and its head, Christopher Haye Onanuga, may be banned from further organizing the annual Miss Liberia Beauty Pageant.

A recommendation to have CT.Com and Mr. Onanuga banned comes as a result of findings of a Special Investigation Committee.

The Committee was set up recently by the Liberian Government to probe circumstances that plunged the 2012 Miss Liberia Beauty Pageant into public disrepute.

The Special Investigation Committee’s recommendation is contained in a report submitted to government Thursday, January 10, 2013 at the Information Ministry in Monrovia.

Investigators are blaming the event’s organizers for poorly handling the 2012-Miss Liberia Beauty Pageant that resulted to the Pageant’s failure to produce a clear winner.
The report was read by Deputy Information Minister, Elizabeth Hoff.

Deputy Minister Hoff said: “Mr. Onanuga must be investigated for his alleged sexual abuse and molestation against some contestants of the controversial Miss Liberia Beauty Pageant”.

Following the Pageant’s fiasco, the Liberian Government was constrained to cancel the results of the show and ordered that Liberia makes no representation at the 2012-Miss World Beauty Contest.

Government further ordered that the organizers compensate each of the 11 contestants with U$3000.00 and offer them scholarships.

Meanwhile, Information Minister, Lewis Brown, says: “Government will have to investigate the recent participation of Liberia in the ECOWAS Beauty Pageant”.

“Liberia’s representation at the ECOWAS Beauty Pageant without any reference to the Ministry of Information is wrong and illegal. Those involved will face the full weight of the law”, Minister Brown.
