MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberian Government says significant success has been made in the country’s infrastructure development.

President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf said: “Such milestone achievement was triggered by strong partnership with friendly governments and institutions of goodwill.”

“The Government will continue fostering partnership with potential investors to contribute to the growth and development of the country,” President Johnson-Sirleaf said.

She made the statement over the weekend at the dedication of the newly dedicated ELWA Hospital in Paynesville.

The Liberian Leader described the hospital’s dedication as a “symbol of monumental partnership” between the government and Samaritan Purse.

The President praised Samaritan Purse for its continuous support to Liberia’s health sector development.

President Johnson-Sirleaf also commended local contractors for the hard work and called on Samaritan Purse to extend similar service to other parts of the country.

In remarks, the Head of Samaritan Purse, Franklin Graham, said: “The hospital’s construction is a testimony of the goodness of God.”

Dr. Graham then thanked God for individuals who contributed immensely to the new health facility.

He assured Liberians that ELWA will always provide medical services to the Liberian people.
