IMF Regional Arm holds 2-week TOT workshop in Monrovia

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Regional Arm of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), AFRITAC West 2 is expected to commence a two-week Revenue Administration Regional Audit Training of Trainers in Monrovia.

The two-week Regional Training will be conducted, in collaboration with the Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA).

AFRITAC West 2, among other things, spearheads and provides technical assistance programs of the IMF to the region with particular focus on improving data analysis.

Participants of the training are from various revenues authorities in the West African sub-region namely, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, The Gambia, Ghana, Cape Verde and host Liberia.

LRA Commissioner-General, Elfreda Tamba, IMF Country Representative, and Coordinators of AFRITAC West 2 are expected to make statements at the official opening ceremony of the exercise.

Commissioner-General Tamba said: “The LRA was pleased to be co-hosting and benefiting from the regional training to enhance LRA Auditors’ capacity to better serve the Liberian people.

Participants are expected to explore ideas in audit planning, intelligence gathering and investigating, data analysis, and the audit of telecommunication companies.
