WACP pledges support to Ebola-affected countries

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The West African College of Physicians (WACP) has pledged to support Ebola-affected countries to revitalize their health systems.

The college also pronounced its commitment to assist governments and stakeholders in the region to conduct research on infectious diseases.

The West African College of Physicians made the commitment recently in a six-count recommendation at the end of its 40th Annual General Scientific Meeting in Monrovia.

The College, among other things, has agreed to provide high quality training for medical specialists of international standards capable of meeting the health needs of the region.

The 3-day gathering brought together more than 200 medical professionals and guests from ECOWAS member states.
