Pres. Sirleaf lauds religious community for its prayers

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf is commending the Religious Community for its continued prayers for the nation and its people.

President Johnson-Sirleaf acknowledged the pivotal role of the Church in the search for peace and stability following 14-years of Civil Conflict.

She said: “Despite the huge challenges, Government has made significant progress towards the attainment of the peace the country now enjoys.”

The Liberian Leader made the statement Sunday, November 6, 2016 when she visited the Sinkor United Pentecostal Church.

President Johnson-Sirleaf praised the United Pentecostal Church family for their prayers for the Government and people of Liberia.

In remarks, the Bishop of the Church, Stephen Binda, welcomed the President and her entourage at the church.

Rev. Binda assured the President of the Church’s continued prayers for the nation and people.
