MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf says her recent trip to Ghana, Nigeria and Great Britain was fulfilled.

President Johnson-Sirleaf’s the three-nation tour, in her capacity as Head of State and Chairperson of ECOWAS Authority, was in the interest of Liberia and the sub-region.

She said: “In Ghana, the seven political parties successfully signed a document committing themselves to non-violent elections, ahead of the December 7 polls.”

President Johnson-Sirleaf made the remarks Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at the Roberts International Airport upon arrival from her recent trip to London, Ghana and Nigeria.

About her trip to London, the Liberian Leader joined education authorities to rally support for Liberia’s education sector, noting that the London engagements went well.

On the last leg of her visit, the Liberian Chief Executive held series of meetings with ECOWAS Commission President and dignitaries.

“The meetings were aimed at familiarizing myself with the Commission’s operations, ahead of the ECOWAS Summit later this month,” President Johnson-Sirleaf also noted.
