MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Information Ministry, Eugene Nagbe, says increase in electricity power connections to businesses and home is government’s top most top priority.

He stressed that the Liberian Government does not have the means to utilize 88 megawatts of electric power; therefore, it is expedient to make use of the16 megawatts of electric power available.

Minister Nagbe said the construction of the Mount Coffee Hydro Plant is to expand towards the Via River between Gbarpolu and Lofa Counties for subsequent construction of another dam.

The Information Minister reiterated that by February 2017, an additional 22 megawatts turban will be commissioned and later the remaining two will followed.

He said more steps need to be taken to solve the infrastructure problems the country faces in infrastructure and electric power.
