Foreign Minister attends US-Liberia Dialogue in Washingtom

WASHIMGTON-Foreign Minister Marjon Kamara is in the United States attending the third US-Liberia Partnership Dialogue in Washington, D.C.

The Partnership Dialogue is taking place in the State Department today, Tuesday, January 10, 2017, a dispatch from Washington, D.C.says.

US Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, Linda Thomas Greenfield, is heading the day-long dialogue.

The dispatch says Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs Greenfield, US Ambassador to Liberia, Christine Elder, and Foreign Minister Marjon Kamara opened the dialogue with brief remarks regarding future bilateral cooperation.

It also includes working sessions on several critical issues intended to overcome challenges to Liberia’s economy, and to expand agriculture production and trade.

Other critical issues to enhance Liberia’s investment and infrastructure climates, post-Ebola recovery, and strengthening the country’s health will also be discussed at the working sessions.

The results of the working sessions will be presented in a joint statement to participants and members of the press.
