Gov’t hailed for tolerance of opposition as Forum for Alternative Media honors Honnah

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia Broadcasting System Deputy Director General for Media Services, Patrick Honnah, said the President Sirleaf- led government has created the space for a free and tolerant media in Liberia.

Mr. Honnah said:” For the National Broadcaster to allow a major opposition to be heard without the host being intimated, speaks to the level of space and tolerance being exercised by President Sirleaf.”

He also praised the Rennie –led LBS Administration for lifting the integrity of the State- Broadcaster to an award winning institution, once considered as a failed entity.

Mr. Honnah made the comment Thursday, January 12, 2017 when he received a certificate of honor from the Alternative Media Forum in Paynesville.
Presenting the award the head of the group Martin Blayon hailed Mr. Honnah for his professionalism and tolerance in the performance of his duties.
