President’s final State of the Nation will be different

MONROVIA-The Government of Liberia has indicated that President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf’s final State of the Nation address will be slightly changed from previous ones.

Information Minister Eugene Nagbe said: “President Sirleaf’s address will not only highlight development progress over the years, but will also be used as a launching pad for ensuring political transition.”

The Minster told ELBC on Monday, January 16,2017, that  the President’s address will give the nation the needed hope required to forge ahead as a country and people.

According to him, it will not fall short of presenting the current state of the economy and every sector of the country including health, rule of law, education, and good governance.

The Liberian leader, on January 23, 2017, the fourth working Monday, will address the 53rd Legislature in fulfillment of her constitutional responsibility under Article 58 of the 1986 Constitution of Liberia.
