MONROVIA-President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf said the Comprehensive Land Rights Policy Act that is before the National Legislature will address enormous land problems in the Country.

The President said:” The instrument is a commitment from the Poverty Reduction Strategy, to develop a National Land Tenure System to promote peace and security in that sector.”

Addressing the National Legislature on Monday, January 24, 2027 in her ‘State of the Nation Address’, President Sirleaf urged the Lawmakers to pass the Bill.

President Sirleaf blamed tensions arising from land on multiple sales of land, criminal conveyance, and illegal occupation.
