Prez. Sirleaf gets invite to address “Preventive Diplomacy” Forum

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has been officially invited to address   an international forum on “Preventive Diplomacy” in the Kingdom of Spain in March this year.

The Liberian leader is expected to address the 2017’s seminar as a keynote speaker of the gathering that focuses on the Role of Women for Peace in Africa, and a roundtable discussion on peace.

According to an Executive Mansion release, the invitation was presented to President Sirleaf, by the Spanish Ambassador accredited to Liberia, Luis Prados Covarrubias, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Monrovia Monday.

Amb. Covarrubias indicated President Sirleaf earned the honor to address the seminar because of her extraordinary leadership skills she has exhibited since her ascendency to the Presidency of Liberia and especially within the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

He congratulated and thanked President Sirleaf for the audience and for the warmth reception accorded him.

Madam Sirleaf, in her response, commended Amb. Covarrubias for the invitation and expressed thanks and appreciation for his visit to Liberia.

The seminar has also invented several other dignitaries including the Secretary General Special Representative to West African and the Sahel, Dr. Mohammed Ibn Chambers.
