Liberty Party welcomes Harrison Karnwea, condemns divisive politics

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Political Leader of the Liberty Party, Charles Brumskine, has warned Liberians against divisive politics that could retard the growth and development of Liberia.

Cllr. Brumskine called on Liberians to reconcile their differences as it is one of the surest the nation and its people can use to foster peace and move the country forward.

The Presidential aspirant of the Liberty Party, spoke Monday, February 13, 2017 in Monrovia, when a stalwart of the ruling Unity Party, Harrison Karnwea, declared his membership at the  opposition Liberty Party Headquarters in Sinkor.

“This is movement, that will see many more to come on board   to the Liberty Party, based on its vision crafted three years and  ago remain in place today that we must reconcile Liberians.”

Cllr. Brumskine said Liberia belongs to every Liberians and so he would do his almost best to make sure everyone Liberian take ownership of the party.

He welcome and thanked Harrison Karnwea for the decision to come into Liberty Party and look forward to working with him not just a member but a key figure.  

Declaring his membership earlier, Mr. Harrison Karnwea said: “My decision to join the Liberty Party is to help in moving the country forward. The decision we have made is not just an event but a process which I have meditated over for some considerable period of time.”

Mr. Karwea said after consultation with family members, he made the decision to join the Liberty Party, judging from what he see and fell as the best choice in the face of challenging time and conditions.

“And so I believe in the promises of the Liberty Party to change, as an irretrievable decision as the curtain raiser for the people of Liberia, Mr. Karwea noted.
