MONROVIA-The Chairman of the Governance Commission is calling on succeeding Liberian Governments to build on what the outgoing government has built.

Speaking during APRM’s 14th Anniversary on March 9, 2017 at the Paynesville Town Hall, Prof. Dr.Amos Sawyer said:” It is binding on succeeding governments to do so because it is about Liberia and not President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.”

Dr.Sawyer praised the President for making sure that Liberia is part of the project and cautioned Liberians to build on existing programs instead of always seeking new frontiers.

He thanked the Governance Commission, development partners and all for supporting the APRM program.
The APRM came into existence in 2003 and thirty-three countries have subscribed to the project plan.
President Sirleaf initially served as chairperson for two years.
