Cabinet Meeting reviews government 150-day action plan

MONROVIA-A special meeting of the cabinet has reviewed a 150-day Action Plan focusing on agriculture, education, health and infrastructure.

According to an Executive Mansion release issued on March 19, 2017 the action plan code named “The Last Mile “is intended to keep the administration on course and focused.

The release says in the area of agriculture, four rice mills at ten metric tons each will be operationalized while eight cassava processing clusters in seven counties will be completed.

The Golden Veruleom Liberia and Sime Darby Palm Mills will be completed and Robertsport and Mesurado fishing facilities will be finished and dedicated.

At the same time, the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene program in the education sector will be accelerated during the period.

The release further states that as part of 150-day action plan, the energy sector will take into account the Cote D’ivoire,Liberia,Sierra Leone and Guinea,CLSG electricity project.

Meanwhile, Mount Coffee’s fourth turbine will be completed giving way to transmission and distribution of electricity for Monrovia consolidation as well as the Bomi and Roberts International Airport corridors.

Also under the action plan, the exterior part of JFK Medical Center will be renovated and a ward to host the Center for Infectious Diseases will be opened.

The Samuel K.Doe Sports Complex currently being renovated by the Chinese Government will be dedicated.
