Protocol for signing ‘Book of Condolence ‘of Late Carlton Karpeh

MONROVIA-The Liberian Government has set the protocol for the signing of the Book of Condolence for the late Liberian diplomat, Carlton Karpeh.

From 10:00am to 10:30am, Vice President Joseph Boakai and Members of the Cabinet will sign the Book of Condolence.

The President Pro-Tempore and Members of the Senate will sign the Book of Condolence from 10:35AM to 11:00AM.

This will be followed by the Speaker and Members of the House of Representatives from 11:05 to 11:30AM.

From 11:35 to 11:55AM, the Chief Justice and Associate Justices of the Supreme Court of Liberia will sign the Book of Condolence.

From 12:00 Noon to 12:25pm, the Doyen and Members of the Consular Diplomatic Corps will sign the Book of Condolence, followed by the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary General and Special Heads of International Organizations.

Former Heads of States, Vice Presidents and Officials of Government will be ushered in to sign the book of Condolence from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM,followed by prelates and Members of the Clergy from 1:05 PM to 1:25 PM.

Heads of Public Corporation, Autonomous Agencies, Bureau and Commissioners will follow from 1:30 PM to 1: PM, among others.

On Friday, March 24, 2017, wake keeping will be held from 6:00 to 9:00PM at the St. Stephen Episcopal Church, 10th Street, Sinkor.

The release further states that on Saturday, March 25, 2017, funeral rites will be held at the Trinity Cathedral Episcopal Church on Broad street beginning at 10AM,and interment will follow at the Kaizer Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Brewerville, Virginia.

The fallen Liberian diplomat once served as Ambassador–at-Large at the Foreign Ministry and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotiary to Cameroon,and as Minister of Information, Cultural Affairs and Tourism.

He died in his 86th year on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at his Duport Road residence in Paynesville, Monrovia.
