MONROVIA-The Liberian Senate has again summoned the Ministries of Public works, Finance and the Management of the Liberia Petroleum Refinery Company (LPRC).

The three Government entities were summoned to appear Tuesday to update the Senate on the status of the road fund.

The Senate also mandated authorities of the Ministry of Finance to make available the current Bank statement regarding road fund.

The Senate’s action was triggered by communication from Sinoe County Senator, Milton Teahjay, requesting the Ministry of Public Works to provide detail report on the status of 3.5(M) Million United States dollars allotted in the National Budget.

Plenary of the Senate, however, voted that investigation surrounding the road fund be carried out by its Committees on Public Works and Ways, Means and Finance and report after the Easter break.
