MONROVIA-The President of Liberia, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, has praised fallen Liberian educator and advocate, Mary Brownell, and stressed that her memories will live on.

The Liberian Leader said Liberia and the world, especially women, will recognize the contributions of the late Mother Brownell made to the country and the inspiration to them.

She said the fallen educator’s memories will live in every woman, particularly through their actions, the way they lead, and how they prepare themselves and in what they do and say.

Paying tribute to the deceased during the funeral at the Trinity Cathedral in Monrovia Saturday, the President recalled that the late Mother was a true friend who guided, inspired and criticized her through letters.

The President disclosed that the letter sent from time to time helped shaped some decisions she took at present.

The Late Mother Brownell was laid to rest Saturday following the funeral which was attended by thousands of friends and sympathizers.
