EU allocates $300.000 TO Liberia’s development programs

MONROVIA-European Union Ambassador, Tiina Intelmann, says EU has allocated 300 – thousand United States dollars to support Liberia’s development programs.

Ambassador Intelmann said the money will be directed to Liberia’s health and education sectors.

She said:”EU’s development package for Liberia will also focus on the pavement of feeder roads in Monrovia and other parts of the country.”

The EU envoy disclosed on Thursday, April 13, 2017, that the Union’s support is in furtherance of its resolve to improve relations with Government.

Ambassador Intelmann made the disclosure recently when the EU donated a consignment of books to the We - Care Foundation Library in Monrovia.

She however, said the donation is intended to make Liberians knowledgeable about EU’’s activities in Liberia and around the World.

Also speaking, the Foundation’s Executive Director, Michael Weah, thanked Ambassador Intelmann for considering Education as one of EU’s top priories.
