President Sirleaf departs for the United States
President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf and delegation are currently in the United States of America on an official state visit.
According to Executive Mansion release, the President’s mission is to hold a sees of important meetings with the United States Government Officials on issues relating to the relationship of both countries and particularly the development of Liberia.
While in the United States, President Sirleaf will also serve as Commencement Speaker at Babson College in Massachusetts.
The release said while the President is away, Justice Minister Frederick Cherue, will chair the cabinet, in consultation with Vice President Joseph Boakai.
The President is expected to return Tuesday, May 23.
