President Akufo-Addo Dankwa arrives in Liberia

MONROVIA-LIBERIA-The President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo Dankwa, has arrived in Monrovia on a two- day official visit, as guest of the Liberian Government.

President Akufo-Addo who touched down at the Roberts International Airport (RIA) at 11:20am Friday, May 26, 2017, was met on arrival by his Liberian counterpart, President Ellen Johnso-Sirleaf.

The Ghanaian Leader was accompanied by Ghana’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Madam Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey,and was  trailed by a displayed of traditional cultural performaance in a welcomed  ceremonyy before being  ushered into the VIP Lounge for a close-door discussion at the RIA before his departure to Monrovia.

As part of his visit to Liberia, he  will attend the 21st Meeting of the Administration and Finance Committee of the Economic Community of West Africa States (ECOWAS) ongoing in Liberia.

The two Western African leaders will also hold bilateral talks on issues concerning Ghana-Liberia relations, including the Liberia-Ghana Joint Commission, focusing on key bilateral agreements reached between the two countries among others.

President Akufo-Addo will also hold other meetings with the African Diplomatic Corps and the Ghanaian community in Liberia while in the country.

Following President Akufo-ddo's departure from Liberia, he will visit the Republic of Mali to hold similar talks with his counterpart before departing for Accra on Sunday.
