Israel embraces ECOWAS, call for joint Isreal-Africa venture

HARBEL-LIBERIA-The Prime Minister of the State of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, says Africa has proven to be a Continent of great potential that could constructively change the story of its people.

“My country believes in Africa because of its present and future potential and the determination to reaching up to nobler heights and destiny.”

Mr. Netanyahu made the statement Sunday, June 4, 2017 at Hotel Farmington in Harbel City, Margibi County, outside Monrovia where the 51st Ordinary Summit of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government took place.

He said: “We would promote the concept of Israel coming back to Africa and Africa coming back to Israel through constructive partnership that impacts the lives of people of our respective peoples.”

Prime Minister Netanyahu said Israel and Africa share some natural affirmatives as horrific wars and the struggle to get out of Colonial rule.

He also spoke on of agriculture, IT and medical, as three key areas of collaboration that West African countries could benefit as part of the partnership.

The Israeli Prime Minister expressed happiness to be in Liberia and further hailed the Liberian government and people for the warm reception he received during his arrival and time of stay.

Prime Minister Netanyahu has since departed the country at the close of the 51st ECOWAS Summit held in Liberia.
