MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Former Lands Mines and Energy Minister Eugene Shannon has appreciated the Management of the Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS) for the renovation of the main LBS building.

Dr. Shannon said:” Amidst the low budget allotted to LBS for its operations, the management is working with the insufficient resources available to rehabilitate the building which was destroyed by the civil crisis.”

He commended the LBS Management Friday, September 29, 2017, for its efforts to bring the system to where it needs to be in order to compete with other stations around the world.

The former Lands Mines and Energy Minister has, meanwhile, presented a minimum cash donation to the LBS Management in appreciation of its efforts to revamp the system.

In response, Acting LBS Director General, Tepenty Young, expressed gratitude to Dr. Shannon, saying any Liberian who will identify with the Management in buttressing the work done by the LBS family will always be appreciated.

For her part, the Deputy LBS Director General for Administration, Hattie Hunder, thanked Dr. Shannon and added that there is so much to be done in reconditioning the LBS main building.

She pointed out that any amount given the LBS Management will go a long way in facilitating the refurbishment exercise.
