Nat’l Comm. on Human Rights cautions Liberians

MONROVIA,LIBERIA-The Acting Chairman of the Independent National Commission on Human Rights (INCHR), Bartholomew Colley, is calling for zero tolerance on’ hate speech’ during these elections period.

Atty. Colley is also calling for equal protection for all political stakeholders as well as equal access to public facilities.

Speaking to ELBC Tuesday, October 3, 2017, Atty. Colley stressed: “Liberians should, at this time, avoid hate speech and remain gracious for the Country’s democratic process.”

At the same time, the INCHR acting chairman has extolled the Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS), and the Liberia National Police (LNP) for job done so far by these institutions.

Atty. Colley said contents coming from LBS are fairly good as they contain materials from the opposition block.

He noted that the police is also striving to maintain impartiality in spite of its limited resources.
