MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberian Government says it remains committed to democratic transition through free, fair and transparent electoral process in the Country.

The Government said it is based on its commitment to making such plan a reality, the necessary processes continue to be put into place since the beginning of the electoral process.

The Liberian Government’s position was re-echoed by the Minister of Information, Eugene Nagbe, when he addressed the MICAT weekly briefing Friday.

Minister Nagbe also rejected claims by Liberty Party Standard Bearer, Charles Brumskine, that President Sirleaf is heavily involved in the electoral process.

He said:” Cllr. Brumskine’s defeat in three successive elections should send out the signal that he is not the choice of the Liberian people.”

Minister Nagbe further called on leaders of political parties, including Cllr. Brumskine, to desist from utterances that could endanger national peace and security.
