MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Liberia’s permanent Representative to the United Nations, Lewis Brown, is calling on Liberians to appreciate President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf for the great rewards being accrued through her leadership.

Ambassador Brown said Liberia continues to make progress in various areas,   including peace, image building and infrastructure development.

He admonished Liberians to be proud of the tremendous progress being made since President Sirleaf took over the country in 2006 as its Chief Executive.

He said:” The country has come a long way from governing in fear in the past to governing with care, through the existence of viable institutions in the country’s governance process, including adherence to the rule of law.”

Ambassador Brown further noted that no society in human history can experience transformation without difficulties, stressing the need for patience and respect for others in addressing issues of national concern.

The former Information minister who is currently in Liberia made the call Thursday during a press conference at the Monrovia City Hall.
