MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) Standard Bearer, George Weah, has sharply reacted to comments attributed to him by the former Chief of Investigation at the Special Court for Sierra Leone, Alan White.

Mr. White spoke on the Voice of America (VOA) on November 8, 2017, alleging that Senator Weah would shield past corruption cases and bring back jailed Liberia’s former President Charles Taylor, and appoint Robert Sirleaf as Senator of Montserrado County, if elected President.

But in his reaction Monday, November 13, 2017 on the VOA, the CDC Standard Bearer termed the statements by Mr. Alan White as mere propaganda and has no iota of truth.

Senator Weah said Mr. White is rather working for other political party leaders, interfering with Liberian politics.

Senator George Weah also admitted coming in contact with Mr. White who he described as a lobbyist during the inception of the Congress for Democratic Change.

The CDC Political leader is calling on his supporters to remain peaceful, and emphatically said he would have no power to bring back former President Charles Taylor, if elected President of Liberia.
