Govt.of Liberia remains committed to democracy

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Government of Liberia says it remains confident that Liberia’s democracy is strong.

Information Minister, Eugene Nagbe, said will ensure that post elections developments are held in line with the law.

Speaking to ELBC Wednesday, November 16, 2017, Minister Nagbe said:” President Sirleaf continues to make all effort to ensure that the Country has a democratic transition by January.”

He noted that the ongoing legal challenge proves that Liberia has moved from a period of war and hostility to an era of democracy.

In another development, Minister Nagbe has disclosed that President Sirleaf recent trip to Accra, Ghana, was to address forum on gender and development in Africa.

Minister Nagbe explained that President Sirleaf at the forum called on African leaders to promote women in order for the continent to have another female President in the not too distant future.
