Maryland Refugee Camp to be turned over…

MARYLAND COUNTY-The refugee camp hosting Ivorian refugees in Maryland County is expected to be turned over to the Government of Liberia at the end of 2017.

The turning over will take place when the Africa Humanitarian Action, in collaboration with UNICEF, ends its operations in Maryland County at the end of December this year.

The Africa Humanitarian Action and UNICEF have been providing humanitarian assistance, including water and sanitation to the little to help refugee camp hosting refugee from Ivory Coast.

Our Correspondent said the two institutions have provided water and sanitation to the refugees over the years, following the political crisis in the Ivory Coast.

He said Maryland County Assistant Superintendent for Development, Nathaniel Toe, has commended the two partners for also constructing over twenty latrines and hand pumps.
