Amb. Yue-Agriculture investment will make Liberia great

BOMI COUNTY, LIBERIA-Chinese Ambassador to Liberia, Zhang Yue, says Liberia, like other developing countries, will not be a great nation

without investing in agriculture.
Ambassador Yue said with Agriculture becoming the foremost backer to world economy, Liberia must invest in it greatly if true development is to be achieved.

The Chinese Ambassador said:” Liberians need to get involve in farming and other agricultural activities to help improve food security in the Country.”

He said industrialized nations around the world take keen interest in agriculture as it is contributing immensely to economic sustainability.

Ambassador Yue made the remarks at the weekend when he addressed the graduation ceremony of the Klay Agriculture Vocational Training Center (KAVTC) in Bomi County.

About Seventy-Seven young people graduated with certificates in general Agriculture, Piggery and Bio-gas production.

Also speaking at the ceremony, Youth and Sports Minister, Charles N’tow, told the graduates that Liberians can make themselves millionaires by investing in Agriculture.

Minister N’tow told the graduates not to sit idle with the knowledge acquired, but should practicalised it by making farms to feed their respective families and communities.

He commended China for their continue support to the manpower development of Liberia, adding that the graduation was another manifestation of President Sirleaf’s quest to empowering the young people and rural dwellers.

Minister N’tow further called on opportune Liberians to lend support to the graduates to make farms.
