MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The opposition Liberty Party has declined to pledge its support to either of the two parties in the run-off election.

Liberty Party Standard Bearer, Charles Brumskine, told a News conference Tuesday, December 19, 2017 that the party remains neutral.

He however said   LP partisans have the right to support either the Coalition for Democratic Change or the Unity Party.

Cllr. Brumskine said:” The decision of the party followed a broad based consultation with the party’s leadership, partisans, and other stakeholders.”

He argued that every partisan of Liberty Party has the right to endorse or not to endorse any party in the run-off election.

Cllr. Brumskine said the Liberty party contains partisans from diverse political backgrounds that have either national or political interest.

It can be recalled that the   Liberty Party standard bearer, in 2011 called on his partisans to determine which direction to go during the run-off election.
