MONROVIA, LIBERA-Candidates in the Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS) Workers Union elections Tuesday made scanty presentations of their respective platforms.

The plat forms were presented at a debate organized by the Workers Union Election Committee, at the offices of the Union on the compound of the National Broadcaster in Paynesville.

The incumbent, Mr. Moses Dorbor, is running for a second term in line with the Union’s Constitution.

Incumbent Dorbor is being seriously challenged by LBS Senior Technician, James Williams.

Meanwhile, the debate’s moderator, Charles Coffee, is calling the electorates to conduct themselves responsibly.

Mr. Coffee described the National Broadcaster as a professional entity whose workers should demonstrate high level of professionalism at all times and in all they do.

He cautioned the workers to put Liberia above all else and urged the candidates to be civil in their approaches to issues concerning the welfare of the Workers Union.

He assured free, fair and transparent election and challenged members of the Workers Union to vote their conscience under a peaceful atmosphere.

The elections are stated for this Thursday at LBS.
