Cllr. Korkoyah-NEC has completed cleaning-up of Final Registration Roll

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Chairman of the National Elections Commission (NEC), Cllr. Jerome Korkoyah, said that NEC has concluded the cleaning up of the Final Registration Roll (FRR). Cllr. Korkoyah Said the cleaning up exercise now puts the total number of eligible voters on the new FRR at Two-Million-One-Hundred-Eighty-Three- Thousand, Six-Hundred-Six-Hundred-Twenty-Nine (2,183,268). In a press briefing Wednesday, December 20,2017,at the headquarters of the Election House in Sinkor,Cllr.Korkoyah said the previous registration roll, according to NEC, had a total number of 2(M) Million-One-Hundred, Eighty-Three-Thousand, Six-Hundred-Twenty-Nine (2,183,629) eligible voters. He said:” As part of the de-duplication process, a total of 274 voters were removed from the voter roll.” The NEC Boss also said that of the 998 multiple identification numbers discovered,158 was resolved without issuing new voter ID numbers while 87 others were deleted. Cllr. Korkoyah further said that new voter identification numbers have been created.
