MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The House of Representatives has ordered its committees on Banking and Currency, Public Accounts and Judiciary to investigate the alleged Car loan being allotted for top executives of the Central Bank of Liberia (CBL).

The decision followed a communication from Monsterrado County Rep. Acarious Gray.

Rep. Gray, in his communication, quotes reports of the CBL spending over US300, 000 in the interest of each of its senior managers for the acquisition of vehicles.

Rep. Gray, however, called on the Plenary to investigate and find out the truth of the matter; he made the called Tuesday February 20, 2018 at Capitol Hill.

The Central Bank of Liberia in a release denied the story, adding that “it has in place a loan a car loan policy for its senior staff to purchase their own cars with repayment lasting for over a five-year period”.
