MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Senate Committee Chair on Commerce and Industry, Jim Tornorlah, says the Committee is committed to supporting the Ministry of Commerce in removing expired goods from the Liberian market.

Senator Tornorlah commended Commerce Minister, Wilson Tarpeh, and his team for their robust step recently taken at the Abijoudi Supermarket and other businesses in and around Monrovia.

He told ELBC Tuesday, March 27, 2018, that the action of the Commerce Ministry will serve as a deterrent and will ensure that business institutions in Liberia abide by the laws of the land.

The Senate Chair said: “The Senate Committee will not condone any unscrupulous business practice in Liberia that tends to endanger the lives of the Liberian people.”

The Margibi County Lawmaker is, however, urging the Ministry of Commerce to act within the confines of the laws.
