MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Independent National Commission on Human Rights (INCHR) is calling on the Government of Liberia to ensure a complete audit of the government it succeeded.

The Commission said:” The audit will put to rest argument surrounding the Country’s current financial status.”

The Acting Vice Chairman of the Commission, Bartholomew Colley, said if the government is to actualize its Pro-Poor Agenda policy, the issue of financial impropriety and accountability must be its hallmark.

In a release issued Tuesday, March 27, 2018, Rev Colley urged President Weah and all public officials to declare their assets in line with commitment to fight corruption.

The Committee at the same time disclosed that the budgetary process will also help in ensuring the developmental goals of the government.

The INCHR further described the corruption perception index,UNDP human development index, Africa Barometer among others, as major governance and development index that need key attention in Liberia.
