Prez Weah in Cote de Ivoire on first leg of four-day visit

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Manneh Weah is currently in the Abidjan on the first leg of a four day state visit to Cote de Ivoire and Ghana.  

On the first leg of his visit, President Weah will hold talk with his Ivorian counterpart, President Alhassan Qattara.

Presidential Press Secretary Sam Mannah said:” Discussions between the two neighboring leaders will basically concentrate on strengthening the already bilateral relationship subsisting between their two Countries.”

Mr. Mannah said the issue of border security will also be highlighted in the discussions between President Weah and President Qattara.

He told ELBC Wednesday, April 4, 2018, that President Weah will further explore other investment opportunities by engaging French Companies operating in the Cote de Iviore to extend their investments to Liberia.

Mr. Mannah said in addition to his trip, President Weah will hold discussions with the President of Ghana Nana Akufo Addo in strengthening the already clean bilateral relationship between their two Counties.

Mr. Mannah explained that the Liberian leader will explore other investment opportunities for Liberia in that West African Country.

The Presidential Press said President Weah’s visit is in response to earlier offer made by the Ghanaian President to his Liberian counterpart during his inauguration in January.
