MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Manneh Weah has been lauded for the inclusion of opposition members in the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) government.

Speaking to ELBC Monday, April 17, 2018, former Grand Kru County Senator Blamo Nelson said:” The appointment of opposition members in the CDC-led Government was a mark of good leadership.”

Mr. Nelson made specific reference to former House Speaker Emmanuel Nuquay who contested the last elections as Vice Presidential candidate on the ticket of the now opposition Unity Party.

He said the inclusion of Mr. Nuquay is a clear indication that the new government is prepared to work with the opposition parties in the country.

Meanwhile Mr. Nelson wants the government to engage more in agriculture to help reduce the high importation of food products into the country.

He said the government needs to re-visit its policy on farming that stresses the subsistence form of farming to commercial farming that will help provide room for earth-moving equipment for land clearing, rather than the use of only cutlasses and hoes for food production.

He stressed that focus on growing food crops was one of the easiest and fastest ways of growing the national economy.
