MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Deputy Information Minister for Public Affairs Eugene Fahngon says it is premature for anyone to blame the Government of Liberia for the death of Journalist Tyron Brown.

Minister Fahngon made specific reference to Businessman George Kailondo who is blaming the government for his former worker’s death.

Speaking at MICAT’s press briefing Thursday, April 19, 2018, Mr. Fahngon said the police should be given the chance to carry out its investigations.

Minister Fahngon said:” in the absence of comprehensive investigations into the incident, any other conclusions are premature.

Meanwhile, Mr. Fahngon has questioned the sincerity of the $5000.00 US Dollar bounty put up by George Kailondo in relation to information for Tyron Brown’s death.

He said Mr. Kailondo cannot be putting up a prize while at the same time blaming the government for Tyron’s death.

Fahngon said any information relating to the journalist’s death should be reported to the Police, and not a private individual like Kailondo who does not have police powers.
