Pavement of roads in Doe Community to begin soon

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Manneh Weah has instructed Public Works Minister, Mabutu Nyepen, to complete the pavement of the Doe Community Road on the Bushrod Island within three Months.

President Weah said: “My instruction to Minister Nyepen is a call to action.”

Speaking in Doe Community Monday, May 7, 2018, he said the Road connects the Doe and Clara Town Communities, emphasizing that when the pavement project is completed, the flow of goods and services between the two areas will be enhanced.

President Weah reiterated that the government’s PRO-POOR Agenda will remain reflective of the interest of the ordinary Liberians.

The Liberian Leader reminded residents of the community that what he intends doing for Liberia has nothing to do with eloquent speeches people expect him to always deliver, but the actions that are in the best interest of all Liberians are his primary concerns.

President Weah said:” The CDC-led Government will continue the legacy of the Unity Party-led Government by finishing all incomplete structures they left behind.”

He wants Liberians appreciate the Unity Party-led Government for its contributions to the development of Liberia and pledged to extend similar development initiatives to other communities across the Country.

Our Executive Mansion Reporter said the Community residents were jubilating, after President Weah instructed the Public Works Minister to meet up with the three month deadline to complete their road.

In a related development, Information Minister Eugene Nagbe, said funding for the implementation of the project is already available.

Minister Nagbe said:” Money for the project will come from the National Budget and expressed optimism that the project will be completed in the time frame.”

He told ELBC that lot of preparatory works have been done to ensure the smooth implementation of the project.

The Information Minister also disclosed that the Doe Community road will be paved with concrete and will be climate-sensitive.

Also speaking, Montserrado County Senatorial Hopeful, Saah Joseph, called on residents of Doe Community to cooperate with the Ministry of Public Works.

He gave 100-thousand Liberian Dollars to the Community youth to work along with the contractors in the implementation of the Project.

Representative Joseph also pledged to work along with his colleagues in the District to open the Doe Community Clinic at the end of this Month.

The Montserrado County Representative assured that he will supply the clinic with some medical equipment and other supplies to ensure the opening of the health facility in the area.
