Millennium Challenge Corporation Deputy Boss-Monitoring and evaluation is important

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Deputy Resident Country Director of the Millennium Challenge Corporation says the concept of monitoring and evaluation is essential to achieving MCC’s compact project goal for Liberia.

Kevin George said:” Alleviating poverty in Liberia is a projects being supported under the Liberia compact, and must meet the best standards and satisfy the needs of the people.”

Mr. George challenged implementing entities of government to always keep track of the project goals to know whether they are proceeding well or not.

He was speaking Wednesday, June 27, 2018, in Monrovia at the start of three-day training on results-based monitoring and evaluation in the Liberia Compact projects and activities.

The training is being organized by the Millennium Challenge Account Liberia, the administrator of the MCC 257 Million dollar grant to Liberia.

It brings together representatives from implementing agencies, including the Liberia Electricity Corporation, Ministry of Public Works, Ministry of Mines and Energy and the Environmental Protection Agency.
