MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Gbarpolu County Senator Armah Jallah has introduced a legislation seeking a special fund to take care of aging Liberians.

Senator Jallah wants a special fund set aside to provide medical care for Liberians who are 65 years old and above and have never worked before.

Speaking to ELBC Wednesday, June 27, 2018, the Gbarpolu County Senator said such funds can be raised by a ten cent levy on a gallon of gasoline.

He said:” It is important for the government to provide medical care for aging Liberians who are not covered by the National Social Security and Welfare Corporation Program.”

The former Senate Pro-Tempt is suggesting that such program be implemented by NASSCORP to ensure transparency and effectiveness.
