He spoke Thursday, August 10, 2018, at the Monrovia City Hall during the induction ceremony of President–elect James Struther, of the Liberia Business Association (LBA).

He admitted that the economy has been dominated by foreign businesses for years, something he said must be changed to allow Liberian own businesses to flourish.

President Weah also indicated that a progressive Pro-Liberian Business Plan is being developed to give the leverage to Liberian businesses.
