MONROVIA,LIBERIA-The Liberian Senate will this Friday, August 17,2018, hold a confirmation hearing on Associate Justice designate of the Supreme Court of Liberia, Cllr. Joseph Nagbe.

Senator Nagbe was recently nominated by President George Weah to replace Cllr. Philip A.Z.Banks, who retired as Associate Justice of the Supreme Court.

According to a release, the Senate has constituted itself into a committee of the whole to conduct the confirmation hearing of Senator Joseph Nagbe.

The hearing will take place in the Chambers of the Liberian Senate and will be opened to the public.

The decision by the Liberian Senate to reconstitute itself into the Committee of the whole to conduct the hearing was triggered by a motion proffered by Senator Morris Saytumah of Bomi County during session on Tuesday, August 14, 2018.

Prior to Senator Nagbe’s nomination, he served as Co-Chairman of the Senate Statutory Committee on Judiciary, Claims, Petition and Human Rights.
