Prez Weah is leader for all Liberians-Nat’l Orator

MONROVIA, LIBERIA -The Orator of this year’s August 24th Flag Day celebration says President George Manneh Weah is not President for only members of the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), but for all citizens.

Deputy Labor Minister, Phil Dixon, said:” President George Weah must ensure that everyone must be given opportunities in the best possible way that he or she can feel a part of the Country.”

He said:” Giving everyone a chance to participate in the governing process, will bring about unity among the citizenry.”

Atty. Dixon was speaking at programs marking Liberia’s 171st Flag Day Celebration at the Samuel Kanyan Doe Sports Complex in Paynesville, on August 24, 2018.

He believes that when the Liberian people are unified, they will work collectively for the development of their Country.

In a related development, the Liberian Government has conferred some of the country’s highest distinctions on several local and international dignitaries during the program.

Those honored are Former Ghanaian President John Kuffour, Most Venerable Order of the Pioneers, Former Arsenal FC Manager, Charles Arsene Wenger, Humane Order of African Redemption, with the Grade of Knight Grand Commander, and Togolese National Team Coach, Claude Leroy, Humane Order of African Redemption, with the grade Knight Grand Commander.

Some Lone Star players who later coached the National Team were also honored.

They include Alhaji   Frank Jericho Nagbe, Star of Africa, and Varbar George among others.
