ZWEDRU, GRAND GEDEH COUNTY-Internal Affairs Minister Varney Sirleaf over the weekend paid a three-day visit to Grand Gedeh County to inform citizens about the President’s pending trip and acquaint himself with projects.

According to ELBC’s Correspondent, Minister Sirleaf said the President’s reconciliation message is important, and that he will officially visit the County to deliver it, and also thank the people for electing him into office.

Our Correspondent told ELBC Monday, August 27, 2018, that Minister Sirleaf began touring rehabilitated streets and many other projects, including Grand Gedeh Community College facilities.

He said at separate meetings with the County Superintendent and staff, Inspectors and Commissioners among others, the Minister encouraged them to work diligently, and dispelled rumors that they only visit the south-east during the dry season.

Our Correspondent said some local authority members raised concern over payroll disparity, but Minister Sirleaf assured that upon his return to Monrovia he will invite them so that they can holistically consider their fear.

He said the Minister’s visit was jubilantly welcomed and he was given ten goats in appreciation of his visit.
