Liberia’s VP considers ECOWAS meeting as critical…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor has described the just opened ECOWAS delocalized meeting on Communication and Information Technology as critical for Liberia and the rest of the sub-region.

Speaking Monday, August 27, 2018, when she officially opened the meeting on behalf of President George Manneh Weah, Vice President Taylor said that the theme under deliberation for the weeklong gathering is timely as the sub-region is an integral part of the global evolution of ICT.

She called on leaders of ECOWAS states to make key decisions to make the region competitive and on cutting edge on the communication and information technology front.

Meanwhile, Vice President Taylor has ensured commitment of the Liberian Government to fulfilling its obligations to the agreement that established the regional ECOWAS Radio in the Country.

The Vice President said:” The Government will strive for the Radio to function and promote the ideas of ECOWAS to integrate people of the region.”
